Ezekiel 18:21-23 reminds us that God is the same loving father in the old testament that he is in the new testament.
"None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them," (22)
Jesus made the way, but the heart of the Father was always to have all come into repentance.
Ezekiel 18:32 gives the heart behind 2Peter 3:9.
"For I take NO PLEASURE in the death of ANYONE, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live"
It's not just his sovereign will that none should perish, but also his very 💓.
