Pray Psalm 139 Verse 23&24
So in week 3 it's time to get even more "real" than the previous 2 weeks. We are learning first to give our day and our agenda to God, and then to enter his court with thanksgiving. Now we need to ask God to come into the secret places of our life and sift out the things, thoughts, attitudes, behaviors, addictions, that are holding us back from receiving the fullness of our Father in heaven.
We know that God is all holy and perfect light. Ask God to shine a light into any dark area of your life. Ask him to reveal to you any part of your life that is still in darkness.
Then ask Him to lead you out into His perfect light and purity, "the way everlasting."
We all have room to grow, so ask that in God's mercy and grace, that He will help you grow.…
When I asked God to sift me, He let me know that I do many things for others that I love as well...which means I am ALSO doing them for me! Super convicting! I now want to intentionally do for others without seeing the spin-off benefits to me until after it happened. That may sound easy, but i think it may take some work before it comes naturally from the overflow of my heart.
