Gerald Derstine was born and raised in eastern Pennsylvania and reared with a conservative Old Mennonite heritage.  Gerald and his late wife Beulah, married in 1949, and born-again the same year.  They moved in 1951 to northern Minnesota to serve as missionaries on the White Earth Chippewa Native American Reservation near Detroit Lakes.  In 1953, Gerald was ordained Pastor of the Strawberry Lake Mennonite Church on the reservation.  In the first week of January, 1955, a most phenomenal supernatural visitation of the Holy Spirit fell upon the congregation subsequently leading him into a world-wide evangelistic and teaching ministry.

Roger Armbruster, together with his wife Marge, were deeply impacted by the Jesus People Movement of the late 1960s and early 1970s, and subsequently by the Charismatic Renewal shortly thereafter.  This movement radically changed the direction of their lives and ministry. Roger began to have a vision to see a similar type of family retreat centre come to Manitoba.  The birthing of Rock Lake Ministries occurred in 1979.  Today Roger and Marge are still building upon that legacy.

June 29 - July 2

Pastor Ken has served as the senior pastor of Crossfire Worship Centre since July 2015. Prior to this he served the church in various roles such as Sunday school teacher, director of education and associate pastor.  Ken gave his life to the Lord at an early age but like many walked away from the Lord as he grew into his teenage years. It was in 2001 that he felt the call of God and committed his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He now has a passion to teach the word of God; carefully unpacking the truth of the scriptures in a way that all people of all ages can understand it.

Ken also has a passion for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and bible prophecy. He believes we are living in the last days and that it's time for the church to rise up and take the gospel to all the world! pastor Ken has said that "Christians need to know that the time is short, they must take the mandate of the Lord Jesus Christ seriously and go and preach the gospel to all people in the power of the Holy Spirit"

July 5 - 9

Randy was on pastoral staff of Zion Apostolic Church in Winnipeg for 25 years. Nineteen of those years as Senior Pastor. One of the passions of his heart during that time was church planting and equipping leaders in the body of Christ. They helped to plant four churches in that time. In 2009 the leadership released Randy and his wife Leslie to travel full time ministering to churches and leaders wherever the Lord would lead.  The passion is still to equip leaders and churches to move forward into what the Lord is calling them to. One of the changes they feel happening is the Lord is establishing family dynamics in the church. The scripture from Malachi 4:6 of turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers is becoming  a reality. The main heartbeat of it is to release the sons and daughters into their destiny. This has become a desire to empower and equip leaders, ministries and families to come into heir destiny the Lord has for them.
