So I spent my birthday this year blessing others. We hadn't planned it that way, but it was by far the best birthday I have ever had. We lavished gifts on a family who was hurting and needed hope and encouragement. I can honestly say that this was my greatest birthday ever.
I reflected after, that this is how my God spends his birthday every year, and really, everyday of the year. He lavishes his children with gifts and encouragements, giving people hope.
This is the heart posture I want 365 days out of the year. Living to serve and not to be served. Living to encourage others daily. Scripture says in Hebrews 3:13Â "But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness."
Could we be so bold as to live a life of encouragement daily to prevent the hardening of a heart? To wake up daily and say, "Today I will be a blessing, and look for opportunities to give hope and encouragement." How would the world around us change with that simple heart posture?
Today - And as long as it is called Today - Pray for each other, cry with each other, laugh with each other, lift each other up in encouragement.
I challenge you to look for an opportunity to give today one of the 3 T's
TIME - TALENT - TREASURE
Be Bold - Be Stretched - Be Blessing
BE - EQUIPPED
