@Tyler Amell I was wondering that too.
For the rest of Boot Camp, the weekly challenges are going to be stretched over 4 weeks in order to prayerfully seek opportunities to live out this radical life of following Jesus. The challenge for the next few weeks is a challenge to use worldly wealth to win over the lost. This means that you use your money in order to shower blessings on those who do not know the Lord in lavish and extravagant ways.
Luke 16: 9-10 says “I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.”
Show them the love of Jesus and spare no expense, because they are worth it!
THIS WEEK’S READING
12:1 gives the answer “Therefore, since we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sun that SO EASILY entangles.”
I had cool moment yesterday baking at the ministry House with 2 little girls. They started talking about the Easter bunny so I asked them if they knew what Easter is actually about. They didn't so I got to tell them the story of Jesus. When I told them Jesus died they were devastated and almost started crying. It struck me how not everyone has heard that Jesus died for us. And when is the last time we cried because He did? Then when I told them that Jesus rose again they were ecstatic and the rest of the evening was all about Jesus. One of them asked if we could leave some cookies at the ministry house for Jesus. I told her that one of the ways Jesus says we can do things for Him is to do things for others so I asked them if they could think if someone they could give cookies to in order to give them to Jesus. One of the suggestions was "The Lodge!" She was so excited to go to the seniors home to give them cookies, so we did and it was awesome! I am so thankful for the faith of these kids and am praying that God will raise up more and continue to blow on them, and give us opportunities to share with others IN OUR BACKYARD who have NEVER HEARD the story of Jesus.
